worldclass.golf is a portfolio of the world's premier golf courses, destinations & resorts
Since 1937, when the then Yugoslav King Aleksander Karađorđević chose Bled as his summer residence, Royal Bled has welcomed guests from around the world. The course is a living, breathing timeline of Slovenian golf at its very best, with the facility comprising the 18-hole King’s Course and the 9-hole Lake Course, world-class practice facilities and boutique accommodation.
In 2017, the King’s Course re-opened after an extensive two-year design renovation programme under the watchful eye of architects, Howard and William Swan, with the course now fit to host royalty. Offering a new-look strategic layout, perfectly manicured surfaces and improved breathtaking views of the local mountains and out across to the famous Bled Castle, Royal Bled is fit for a Prince. Set atop a small perch offering uninterrupted views of the golf course, the King’s House offers an extensive array of luxurious facilities for golfers and non-golfers alike. The unique King’s House, originally built in 1938, is a real testament to regional Slovenian architecture and showcases a signature restaurant with open kitchen, an expansive terrace overlooking the 9th and 18th double green along with ten luxurious suites on two floors. All rooms at Royal Bled come complete with modern amenities, lavish furnishings and some of Slovenia’s best views.
Situated a mere chip shot from the King’s House and first tee of both courses, the Lake’s House is as comfortable as it is charming. The local Slovenian décor is fantastically complimented by modern furnishings and of course, the accommodation is dramatically framed by the expansive surrounding mountains. Training and practice facilities have also been extensively upgraded and extended, and now offer what is widely regarded as one of the finest learning centres in Europe. With its central EU location, just 25 minutes from Ljubljana airport and located within five minutes of Slovenia’s most visited tourist attraction, the Bled area has so much to offer, and is ideally placed for an ultimate golfing getaway.
