A shining light in Turkish golf, Gloria Hotels & Resorts is a fitting place for travelling golfers to enjoy their favourite sport all year round. Located just 30km away from Antalya International Airport in the popular holiday destination of Belek, Gloria is a five-star venue that is home to three hotels and Turkey’s largest golf complex. Designed by French golf course architect Michael Gayon, Gloria Golf Club consists of 45 holes made up of two 18-hole championship courses and a nine-hole academy course.
Opened in 1997, the Old Course has established itself as a firm favourite of golf visitors to Turkey, with precision golf key in finding the beautiful tree lined fairways. The course features six lakes and more than 60 bunkers, providing both a challenging but fair test. Surrounded by pine trees, the New Course has been popular with amateur and professional golfers since opening in 2005. With seven lakes – one more than the Old Course – water is present on more than half of all holes, creating an equally challenging experience as its sister course.
Adding to the enjoyment provided at Gloria, the nine-hole Verde Course is well worth playing – whether as a loop of nine, twice as an 18 or alongside a favoured nine from the Old or New. Recent investment has also seen Gloria Golf Club open its Gloria Golf Training Academy, the nation’s first facility of its kind. Facilities awaiting players include 48 Trackman-equipped and six uncovered driving-range bays, as well as 18 practice greens for putting, bunker play and pitching.
Away from the course, golfers are not limited when it comes to accommodation options at Gloria Hotels & Resorts. The resort features three five-star resorts on the beach, Gloria Golf Resort, Gloria Verde Resort and Gloria Serenity Resort – a luxurious hotel that officially reopened to holiday-goers in 2023 following an extensive multi-million euro upgrade and renovation.
