Los Naranjos belongs to a select group of golf courses on the Costa del Sol, designed by the famous golf architect Robert Trent Jones and built at a time when suitable land was readily available. The location could not be better, with 70 hectares of undulating terrain, crossing a riverbed that originally was an orange tree plantation, from where the club takes its name. As soon as you set foot in the Los Naranjos Golf Club you will be able to observe the history together with the very special and relaxed atmosphere that flows throughout the club. The restaurant and its spectacular terrace is a natural meeting point, and a popular spot where members and guests meet and mingle, enjoy great food and, ultimately, the good life.
Los Naranjos has a classic Robert Trent Jones layout with wide fairways and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. The Penn A4 grass greens are wide and undulating with course lengths ranging from 5,131 to 6,532 metres. Since its opening in 1977, Los Naranjos has hosted numerous high-profile professional and amateur tournaments during its illustrious history – including the 1988 Marbella Ladies Open and 1989 Spanish PGA Championship, which was won by Jose Rivero after beating Spanish legend Severiano Ballesteros in a play-off – and in 2021 hosted the AndalucÃa Costa del Sol Open de España.
Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by the CaddyMaster and all facilities at the club, including the full use of the practice range and changing rooms, including shoe cleaning and locker storage will be made fully available… all visitors are encouraged to make themselves at home. There is even an on-site Barber’s shop for any visitors in need of a pre-round hair cut.
