Aphrodite Hills Resort has officially opened its new PGA National Golf Academy, bringing together expert PGA coaching and world-leading technology to create one of Europe’s most advanced golf academies.
The PGA National Golf Academy has been designed for golfers of every level, from complete beginners and juniors to experienced players, elite golfers, families, groups and visiting guests.
The opening marks another significant milestone in the Mediterranean resort’s continued investment programme, further strengthening the position of Aphrodite Hills Resort, a worldclass.golf Premium Destination.
The academy combines an outstanding range of coaching technology and practice environments, enabling golfers to develop every aspect of their game under the guidance of Aphrodite Hills’ PGA professionals.
At its heart is Cyprus’ first Trackman Range, featuring 28 practice bays equipped with the industry’s leading ball-tracking technology. Every shot is analysed in real time, providing instant feedback on ball speed, launch angle, spin, carry distance and shot shape, while also offering interactive games and skills challenges. The acclaimed PGA National Cyprus 18-hole championship golf course designed by Cabell B. Robinson is also the first Cyprus venue to be mapped and available through Trackman so players can test their game over the virtual course on 15 screens.
The academy features SYNLawn’s longest continuous artificial teeline in Europe, using SYNLawn UK’s premium TeeStrike+ surface both inside and out. Designed to replicate the performance of natural turf while delivering exceptional durability and consistency throughout the year, SYNLawn’s TeeStrike+ is the same technology selected for TGL, the technology-led golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, bringing the science and surfaces behind one of golf’s most innovative competitions to Cyprus for the first time.
Inside the new academy building two indoor coaching studios are equipped with Trackman 4, alongside PLATFORM Golf’s TrueBreak putting system and SAM PuttLab technology. Together, they provide detailed analysis of every element of the game, from full swing performance to realistic putting practice on accurately recreated slope-adjusting green contours.
The academy is complemented by a dedicated short game area, natural grass practice tees, the six-hole PGA National Academy Course, an Academy Golf Shop and custom fitting with brands including Taylormade, Callaway, PING and Srixon and club repair services, creating a complete coaching environment whether learning the game for the first time or refining technique.
